A perfume set inspired by Maurice Ravel's masterpiece of piano music "Gaspard de la Nuit". The first movement, "Ondine", the second movement, "Le gibet", and the third movement, "Scarbo", have been made into eau de toilette.
The scents were supervised by Kan Izumi, a scent artist living on Awaji Island in Japan. The "Gaspard de la Nuit" will be recreated in fragrance as follows.
The first movement
Ondine, a story of a water nymph seducing a man, has a sensual top: water accord, middle: lily of the valley, and last: violet.
The second movement
Le gibet, with its interplay of corpses and bells, is grotesque and profound, with leather at the top, elemi at the middle, and cedar at the end.
The third movement
A midnight rampage, "Scarbo" is spicy with top: clover, middle: neroli, and last: oakmoss.
To take it out of the case, push the bottom of the bottle to make it pop up, like a piano key.
It also comes with a booklet to make the fragrance even more enjoyable.
